Biography

Abdullah Feroze, MD, is a neurosurgeon and interventional neuroradiologist at George Washington University. He also maintains privileges as a pediatric neurosurgeon at Children's National Hospital, specializing in the care of children and adults with complex neurosurgical conditions.

Feroze graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.Sc. in economics and biology. He subsequently spent time at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland as a Duke University Program of Global Policy and Governance global health fellow prior to attending the Stanford University School of Medicine. During medical school, his research interests included particular focus on stem cell biology and tumor immunotherapy for brain tumors and domestic health policy culminating in time as a White House intern within the Office of Presidential Personnel and visiting neurosurgery scholar at the CURE Children’s Hospital of Uganda. He completed neurosurgical residency at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center (Seattle, WA) before completing dual fellowships in endovascular/open neurovascular surgery at Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women's Hospital (Boston, MA) and pediatric neurosurgery at Children's National Hospital (Washington, DC).

One of a select few neurosurgeons in North America with specialized training in both pediatric and adult open cerebrovascular/endovascular techniques, he has a keen interest in providing comprehensive and compassionate treatment for a wide range of cerebrovascular conditions, including brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke, cavernous malformations, moyamoya disease, CSF-venous fistulas, and idiopathic intracranial hypertension.

He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Society for Neurointerventional Surgery, and the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, mountaineering, and gardening.
