Research

Dr. Pajoohesh-Ganji’s laboratory research has been focused on the pathways and repair mechanisms that play a role in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She has used various models, including the spinal cord and the optic nerve, to investigate inflammation, axonal regeneration, and oligodendrocyte biology in mice and rats. Currently, she has turned her focus to educational research, specifically examining the purpose of underrepresented students in pursuing medical education and faculty development.

Teaching

Dr. Pajoohesh-Ganji is the Director Minor in Human Anatony, "Ethics for Translational Sciences” (ANAT 6219), “Human Microscopic Anatomy” (ANAT2150), and “Functional Human Neuroanatomy” (ANAT 210) courses. She teaches Histology, Neuroanatomy, and Ethics to undergraduates, graduates, medical, and physician assistant students.
