Biography

Dr. Donoho is an assistant professor of neurosurgery and pediatrics. His clinical interests include disorders of the skull base, brain tumors, pituitary tumors and craniopharyngiomas, rathke’s cleft cysts, spinal tumors, hydrocephalus, myelomeningocele, spina bifidaChiari malformation, spinal malformations and trauma, spinal dysraphism and craniocervical spinal disorders. He is available for adult, pediatric and prenatal consultations in person and via telehealth.

Dr. Donoho received an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College (economics) and medical degree from SUNY- Stony Brook, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Donoho completed his internship and neurological surgery residency at the University of Southern California and completed a prestigious fellowship in endoscopic, minimally disruptive surgery for tumors and other conditions of the skull base under the tutelage of Edward R. Laws, Jr. MD at Harvard Medical School. Following completion of his post-graduate training, he completed a top-tier subspecialty fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Texas Children’s Hospital and he was a clinical instructor in the Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Donoho’s NIH-funded research lab creates artificial intelligence systems that improve surgical safety. His research appointments are in the faculty of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Children’s National Center for Neuroscience Research and the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation.

Dr. Donoho is eligible for certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) and the American Board of Pediatric Neurosurgery (ABPNS).
