Biography

Dr. Deborah Waddill is an Adjunct Associate Professor for The George Washington University's School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) where she was Course Director for the Healthcare Leadership course from May 2016-January 2019. In May, 2012, Dr. Waddill was inducted into the Alpha Eta Honor Society – a national honor society that is committed to the promotion of scholarship, service and fellowship among health professionals and recognition of leadership and high attainments in the health professions. Its motto is "Together we serve."

Concurrent with teaching at GWU, Dr. Waddill is President of Restek Consulting, LLC which specializes in HR consulting services to non-profit, for-profit and government clients. She speaks regularly at conferences, and publishes in scholarly journals and textbooks on a variety of research topics related to Human Resource technologies, leadership, and action learning. Dr. Waddill authored the text Digital HR (2018) which was published by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and in the "Top Eight" for book sales at the SHRM 2018 conference. It is a sequel to The e-HR Advantage (Waddill & Marquardt, 2011).

In her free time, if she is not playing outdoors with her family, she dabbles with technology.
