Biography

Erika Bramlette is an assistant professor and co-director of clinical education in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. In her clinical education role, Bramlette provides leadership and oversight over all clinical training sites. Bramlette practiced clinically for more than 20 years in women’s health in medically underserved areas. She is the clerkship director for the women’s health, emergency medicine, and elective rotations. Bramlette also provides instruction in the reproductive medicine section of clinical medicine during the didactic phase of the curriculum.

Bramlette has a special interest in increasing diversity within the PA profession. Most recently, she was appointed health sciences liaison for diversity and inclusion in the School of Medicine and Health Science. Her research interests include health and education disparities, reproductive justice, and women’s health. She serves as a peer reviewer for JAAPA, Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and participates in several local reproductive health organizations.
