Biography
Dr. Jannet Lewis is Professor of Medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is Director of Noninvasive Cardiology, and Director of the GW Women’s Heart Center. Dr. Lewis has been a member of the faculty at George Washington University since September 2001. During her tenure, she has developed the noninvasive cardiology services at both the GW Hospital and the GW Medical Faculty Associates to provide not only excellent patient service, but an academic environment for education of students, residents, and fellows. In 2011, Dr. Lewis became Director of the GW Women’s Heart Center. In this role, she has worked to provide cardiovascular care specific to women, educate both lay and academic community and engage in research specific to the care of women.

- Use of newer echocardiographic techniques (speckle tracking imaging) to assess ventricular function in patients with systemic hypertension and heart failure
