Patricia Smith, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. After completing an Advanced Gynecologic Endoscopy Fellowship at The Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston, she was in private practice for six years. She later became a faculty member at the Department of Obstetrics at the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Texas Medical Center. She joined the staff at GW in 2010. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecological procedures including laparoscopic total and supracervical hysterectomy, robotic surgery, operative hysteroscopy, perimenopausal and menopausal issues and treatment, and contraceptive management.
