Sam Moghtaderi

Dr. Moghtaderi is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty certification in the surgery of the hand. He specializes in problems of the hand, wrist, and elbow, in both adults and children. This includes fractures, trauma, sports injuries, ligament tears, pediatric hand problems, as well as common hand conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and tendinitis.
 
He is a graduate of Yale College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He completed fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. 
 
Prior to joining the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, Dr. Moghtaderi was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Attending Physician at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. He is an active participant in the teaching of medical students and future physicians, and served as Chief of Hand Surgery Education in the orthopaedic surgery residency program while at Einstein. Dr. Moghtaderi also has a special interest in medical informatics and the use of information technology to improve clinical practice and patient care.
 
Dr. Moghtaderi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the New York Society for the Surgery of the Hand, and the District of Columbia Society for Surgery of the Hand.
