Dr. Sherry Dadgar is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Dr. Dadgar is board certified by American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. She is the Founder and Director of Personalized Medicine Care Diagnostics (PMCDx) Laboratory, Inc. at Germantown Innovation Center aiming to enable clinicians to implement precision medicine approaches.
She holds a BSc degree in Cellular Molecular Biology (Genetics), MSc in Bioinformatics and MPhil in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Dadgar earned her PhD in Molecular Medicine from George Washington University, School of Medicine & Health Sciences and pursued post-doctoral training at the Center for Genetic Medicine, Children’s National Health System in DC. She further completed her fellowship training in Clinical Molecular Genetics at National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), National Institute of Health (NIH).
Dr. Dadgar has authored more than twenty five scientific articles and abstracts published in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Cell Biology, PlosOne and American Journal of Kidney Diseases. She is a recipient of several research and grant awards for her scientific research projects.
Dr.Dadgar is currently a fellow of American College of Medical Genetics. She is teaching genetic course in Medical Genetics and Genomics fellowship training program at NHGRI, NIH. She is actively serving as an editorial board member in several scientific journals. Dr.Dadgar has been invited to speak and serve as an organizing member at professional conferences.
She has also passionately contributed to philanthropic societies such as ACLA and UNICEF to influence the field of genetics and molecular diagnostics.
Dr. Dadgar's main interest is to bring genetic information into clinical practice. She is an expert in evaluation of individual’s genomics profile to offer targeted patient care.
